Reaching the End

Yesterday I uploaded my book The A to Z of Spanish Culture to the Kindle store.

I have been working on this project (for it is more a project than a book) for over one year now, so I do feel some sense of relief at having completed the first version.

While I don’t feel like the project is finished (nothing ever is in this day and age of Internet and social media), I feel like I can switch off that little part of my creative brain which has been engaged in shaping my thoughts on Spain and its history, society, food and art.

I’ll continue blogging (www.atozofspanishculture.com)- it’s not just a great way of creating awareness about the book but it’s actually, quite fun!

I’ll continue tweeting (@aspanishculture)- such a great discipline, summarising what you have to say in 140 characters, excellent training for the writer and journalist.

I’ll continue jotting down ideas and getting ready for the second edition, when I will introduce a Spanish personality (dead/alive/fictitious) in each chapter. (There is no way I’m going to suggest a release date for this.)

So, if you’re curious about what this “A to Z” is all about or just fancy reading something light on your Kindle, visit the Kindle store and have a look. Don’t forget you can download a sample to get a feeling for the style.

I hope you enjoy it!
