I’m 40% into this book (you can tell I’m reading it on a Kindle) and I’m loving it.
The book tells the story of a High Court Judge, who works on family court cases. The cases themselves are fascinating as they present interesting moral dilemmas. But it’s not just about her cases. Fiona (the protagonist’s name) is also going through a very difficult time in her marriage. The way in which her past and present appear on the page means you really get into her head.
PS I’m actually reading this on an old keyboard Kindle, connected to my mother’s account. I have to say I really do like the buttons (as opposed to the touch screen of the Paperwhite) and the keyboard means it’s really easy to hold the device. Shame this model was discontinued.
PPS I’m used to looking at the cover on the amazon website and I always thought the figure was a penguin. But it isn’t…
