I am currently writing The A to Z of Spanish Culture, a light read for those who want to find out a little bit about Spain today. Each chapter is dedicated to one word, which opens up into a range of aspects of Spanish culture. For example, B is for Barrio (neighbourhood) talks about what it’s like to live in a typical Spanish city. U is for Uvas (grapes) talks about the Christmas traditions, such as eating twelve grapes at Christmas.
I have turned a few of these chapters into podcasts, including D is for Duende, which mainly talks about Federico Garcia Lorca.
If you fancy listening to this, or the other podcasts (they’re all under ten minutes each), please feel free to download them from the A to Z website, or itunes.
